This part of My Miniatures site is to display the dollhouses I
have "waiting in the wings" ... under the bed ... yet
to be done ... call it what you want, but they are still in the
boxes, put away in a dry area and the little grey cells think about
them a lot of the time. Enjoy reading about my plans for them... |
| Brimble's
General Store (Greenleaf) This miniature house is no longer offered by Greenleaf, and so, in the Summer of 2001, I had a bit of a mission ... to find Brimble's General Store on eBay. It took about a month for one to show up, and once it did, I became a very ruthless dollhouse bidder. Fortunately, I won the auction. Previous to winning Brimble's, I also had great success in finding the 2 general store kits by Realife. I don't know when I'll be starting it, but I have it, and that's what counts! |

As
with most tab and slot kits, they are a bit of work. The wood is
not the greatest, and the spliters can be something else, but for
me, the work is worth it. This view is the back and side of the store. |

The front, highly detailed, probably an enormous aggravation, but I'm sure it will be worth it....when I get to it ! |
| The
Theresa (Greenleaf) Another one of my eBay finds. I was not looking for anything in particular, just skimming through the dollhouse section and I found this on. Greenleaf also doesn't make this one anymore. I think I'll be turning it into a flower shop ... something like that. |

I like the veranda. I'm not normally into too much "fru fru" when it comes to trim, but this trim seems to go quite well ... at least for a flower shop.

I like this layout ... another reason why I bought it. I like the way the stair cases are partitioned away from the rooms. Judging from the pieces of the house, the rooms, both width and height are large, and that is wonderful. Nice bay windows on one side and a chimney/fireplace on the other. The house has good dimention!

Cute! |
| The
Canterbury (Greenleaf) This miniature house is also no longer offered by Greenleaf, and I found this one too by humming around eBay one day. The plan for the Canterbury is to turn it into a knitting store, probably called Deux par Deux. |

It's a nice little house. Great little veranda cornering the house. Nice selection of windows too.

Good partitions for the bottom 2 rooms ... I can definitely see my miniature hand knits for sale here! |
| The
Ashley (DuraCraft) I bought this house at Ted's Hobby Shop in Pointe Claire. No, I didn't need another house, but it's so sweet! Plans for this house will be a toy shop and it won't be painted pink ... anywhere cuz I'm not a "pink" person. |

The exterior is kind of similar in a way to the Buttercup by Corona. Nice front porch and not too much "fru fru!"

What mostly sold me on this house was the interior. I like the way it's laid out with the circular stairs going up the side.! |
